Dennis Culloton is the founder, CEO and president of Culloton Strategies LLC, a boutique media and strategic communications firm serving top executives in sports, business, nonprofits and politics.

One of the most experienced crisis communications and media advisers in the marketplace today, he founded Culloton Strategies based on the philosophy of providing clients with a dynamic, strategic approach to achieving their goals. The firm provides personal service led by experienced senior practitioners who understand the legacy and new media worlds and how they drive public opinion and policy.

Culloton brings more than 25 years experience in media, business, government and politics to that strategic approach. Prior to founding Culloton Strategies, he developed his private practice as the executive vice president of a Chicago public affairs firm where he counseled health care executives, sports entrepreneurs, aviation and transportation leaders and top business executives in many other industries.

Culloton's crisis communications skills were honed in the challenging assignments of press secretary to former Illinois Governor George Ryan and, prior to that, as the chief spokesman for O'Hare International and Midway airports as well as Meigs Field in Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley's administration. From plane crashes to high-profile litigation, political battles and criminal investigations, Culloton has counseled top executives through nearly every crisis imaginable.

In 1996, he was the communications manager for the Chicago '96 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. He also served several years as a public affairs executive with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.

A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and the DePaul University College of Law, Culloton was a writer and reporter for Chicago's WMAQ All News Radio 67 from 1988-1992. A frequent guest lecturer and former college instructor, Culloton won a meritorious Achievement Award for Reporting at the Chicago Bar Association's first annual Herman Kogan Media Awards. He was also named one of Crain's Chicago Business' "40 under 40" in 2002.

Culloton sits on the boards of Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Inc., the League of Chicago Theatres, the Naperville Chamber of Commerce and the Naperville Area Chamber Political Action Committee. He resides in Chicago's western suburbs with his wife Katie and their two children, Grace and Conor.
